The Avanti AVA-01 Quartz Transducer Simulator was designed to substitute a first generation Quartzdyne transducer (5V frequency outputs) when testing data acquisition systems. It provides full control and repeatability of test parameters and is particularly useful for checking accuracy, resolution and time-keeping and for spotting any counting or processing irregularities.
The simulator generates 3 crystal controlled frequencies:
A pressure frequency (PF), a temperature frequency (TF) and a reference signal
(REF). Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) is employed, which provides variable yet
quartz-stable signals with very low phase noise.
Frequencies, sweep parameters and profile parameters are programmed by means
of 5 rotary switches and 4 push buttons. Instructions are printed onto the
front panel, which make the simulator very easy to use without the user
manual.
Please note: This is an end-of-life product, supporting legacy 5V transducers only. For a newer yet simpler version that supports any 'analog' 3V and 5V transducer see the AVA-06 Simulator.
