readme.txt for CFFconv_32.exe V2.0 23.APR.2015/avanti

CFFconv is a Windows utility for converting frequency based coefficient files (extensions CRF and CRT) into a digital coefficient file (extension HEX).

It assumes a CRF file with 4x4 pressure coefficients and a CRT file with 4 temperature coefficients. It will NOT work with higher or lower order polynomials. It also assumes that the same prescale factor m is applied to pressure and temperature frequencies. It also assumes that no postscale offset is applied. CFFconv checks that these conditions are met when reading CRF/CRT files and comes up with an error message if a mismatch is detected.

Installation:

1. Unzip the zip archive into a folder of your choice.
2. You will get two files: readme.txt and CFFconv_32.exe.
3. Create a shortcut to CFFconv_32.exe.
4. Open the Windows SendTo folder by clicking START and then RUN. Then type shell:sendto into the text box and click OK.
5. Move the CFFconv shortcut into the Windows SendTo folder and close the folder again.

You can now right-click on any CRF or CRT file and run CFFconv from the SendTo menu.
CFFconv generates two files of the same name, one with the extension HEX and one with the extension LOG. The HEX file contains the converted coefficients. The LOG file is a text file that shows original and converted calibration data in a readable format.
