Analog Quarzdyne to Digital Quartzdyne converter
The Avanti Quartz Transducer Counter is a single chip solution for converting a traditional frequency output transducer into a digital transducer. It measures pressure and temperature frequencies and returns the results through a Quartzdyne compatible I2C interface.

The update rate is 91ms. The gate time is a multiple of 91ms, up to a maximum of 2.8s. The gate time can be configured to be fixed or self adjusting according to the polling rate (MODE link).

The counter chip operates from a supply voltage between 2.7V and 5.5V. Current consumption at room temperature is 2.85mA @ 5V or 2.45mA @ 3V. Package options are PLCC-44 and QFP-44. Temperature rating TBA.
Analog Quarzdyne to Digital Quartzdyne Demo Board
A demo board measuring 2.75" x 0.7" (69.85mm x 17.78mm) is also available. The demo board contains a counter chip in a QFP-44 package plus a serial EEPROM for holding calibration coefficients. Biasing circuitry is also included, accepting AC or DC coupled transducer signals. There are pads provided for the I2C address links and the MODE link, plus test pads for monitoring the operation with an oscilloscope. The PCB material is standard FR4.
